The Golden Rule

THE GOLDEN RULE

“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love”. (Ephesians 4:2 NLT).

1. Be humble. We do not lord over others.

2. Be kind. We treat others as we would like to be treated (Mat 7:12).

3. Patient and tolerable. Three reasons why I need to be patient: We have all needed the patience of others in the past, I need your patience in the present, and I will need it in the future.

“Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” (Ephesians 4:2 NLT).

4. United. You are not my enemy, you are my friend, we are partners of the same team. Your failure is my failure and your success is my success. We are focused on a single, common goal.

5. Peaceful. Not being a quarreler, looking for fights, or starting arguments. Peace is the link that holds people together.

The Golden Rule

“Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.. (Mathew 7:12 NLT).

Think about it:

How do you like to be treated? How do you treat others?
Of the five points, in which area should you work the most on? What will you do to be more patient and tolerant?
