Why did you send me?

WHY DID YOU SEND ME?

Then Moses went back to the Lord and protested, “Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me?  Ever since I came to Pharaoh as your spokesman, he has been even more brutal to your people. And you have done nothing to rescue them!” (Exodus 5:22-23 NLT)

Sometimes, it seems like obeying God brings us problems. Sometimes we ask ourselves if we want to continue serving God.
Moses asked God, “Why did you tell me to help my people? The only thing I have done is make Pharaoh mistreat them and now we have more problems.”

But the only thing God was doing was creating a supernatural exit, a total freedom, an overwhelming triumph that shows God was with his people.

Sometimes, we find ourselves in problems because we obeyed God, but we should not be discouraged.

Paul and Silas did not get discouraged when they were unjustly put in jail.

Around midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. (Acts 16:25 NLT).

You and I should also not get discouraged in the midst of difficulties.
Surely, God is working in the situation to show in a supernatural way, that he was who pushed us through and gave us the victory. Do not get exasperated. God will surely work all the way to the end to ensure that all things work for our good. (Romans 8:28)

Then Moses went back to the Lord and protested, “Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me? 23 Ever since I came to Pharaoh as your spokesman, he has been even more brutal to your people. And you have done nothing to rescue them!” (Exodus 5:22-23 NLT)

Think about it:

What situations have you been confronted with for obeying God?
What consequences have you had for disobeying God?
What benefits have you obtained by obeying God?
