SLEEPING DURING THE STORM
Suddenly, a fierce storm struck the lake, with waves breaking into the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. (Matthew 8:24 NLT)
- We all have storms in our lives once in a while.
- We don’t gain anything from worrying, but we do lose something (sleep, health, money, peace)
- We can’t change anything by worrying, but we can with prayer. That is why the first thing we need to do during a storm is bring everything to our Heavenly Father in prayer.
Jesus responded, “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm. (Matthew 8:26 NLT)
What would have happened if Jesus would not have gone with them on the boat? If we want Jesus to stop storms in our life, let’s make sure that he is on our boat, in our home, studies, business, or ministry.

If the wind and waves submit to God’s voice, could there be anything impossible for him? Do you think God can transform the storm in your life into calmness?
