What does God say about me?

WHAT DOES GOD SAY ABOUT ME?

Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.. (Acts 13:36 NIV)

What did God say about David? What made David a man after God’s own heart? Let’s look at what David did, someone whom God calls a man according to His heart:

1.Service. He served God by serving people.

2. Generation. He served not only for a few years, but for an entire generation. He was perseverant, committed and faithful towards God.

3. Purpose. His life was not lived in vain. He fulfilled God’s purpose for his life.

4. Buried. He died, but not before he had fulfilled God’s purpose for him on earth.

After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.”. (Acts 13:22 NIV)

Lord, I want to fulfill your purpose, but I can’t do it alone. Manifest your blessing and grace over me so that I can supernaturally be all that you want me to be and achieve what I humanly cannot.

In what way do you think you can serve God through serving people?
What are you doing to leave a legacy of blessing to your generations?
What is the purpose or assignment of God for your life?
