NOT ALL THE GRAPES (PEOPLE) ARE BAD – PART 2
“But I will not destroy them all,” says the LORD. “For just as good grapes are found among a cluster of bad ones (and someone will say, ‘Don’t throw them all away—some are good!’), so I will not destroy all Israel. For I still have true servants there.”
Isaiah 65:8 (NKJV)
Although sin and wickedness abound in the world, God reminds us that there is always a faithful remnant. This hope motivates us to stay on His path, knowing that our lives can bless others and that there are eternal rewards for those who serve Him faithfully.
Reflections on Hope and Rewards
- There Is Still Hope
God does not discard the entire cluster because He finds good and faithful people. Similarly, even in challenging times, there are those who love God and seek His purpose. As part of Águilas Centro Familiar Cristiano and other ministries, we strive to be light and a blessing in our communities. Our goal is to reflect Christ’s love by serving people and making a difference in the world. - Rewards for Faithful Servants
The distinction between “good grapes” and “bad grapes” is made clear in Isaiah 65:13-14. God rewards His servants with provision, joy, and satisfaction, while those who reject His ways face consequences of sorrow and despair. This motivates us to remain steadfast in faith and to follow His will with a grateful heart.- God’s servants will eat and drink: This represents the abundant provision God gives to those who obey Him.
- God’s servants will rejoice and sing: This speaks of the joy and peace that only God can provide, even in the midst of trials.
- Those who reject God will hunger and thirst: This symbolizes the emptiness and dissatisfaction experienced by those who live apart from His will.
Prayer
Lord, don’t discard all the grapes. There is still hope because You still have faithful servants on this earth. Help me remain in that group of people who reflect Your love and are a blessing to others. Grant me the grace and strength to serve You faithfully and to receive the rewards You have promised to those who seek You with all their hearts.
Reflect on This
- How can you be part of the group of faithful servants God still has on this earth?
- What practical actions can you take to reflect God’s love and goodness in your community?
- Are you trusting in the rewards God promises to those who serve Him faithfully.
