Prayer, Fire, and Presence – Part 1

Prayer, Fire, and Presence – Part 1

“When Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices; and the glory of the Lord filled the temple.”
2 Chronicles 7:1 (NKJV)
Solomon had built the temple for God, a place where His people could worship Him and seek His face. However, the temple only became a place filled with God’s glory after Solomon prayed. It was prayer that brought the manifestation of fire and the presence of the Lord. In our Christian life, this sequence remains key: prayer connects us with God, the fire of the Spirit transforms us, and His presence fills us.

Think About It:

  1. How is your prayer life? Do you set aside time daily to seek God?
  2. Is the fire of the Holy Spirit burning in your life, or has it faded? How can you rekindle it?
  3. What changes do you need to make to live more aware of God’s presence in your daily life?
