THOSE WHO PRAY FOR LAS VEGAS
“O Jerusalem (LAS VEGAS), I have set watchmen on your walls; they shall never hold their peace day or night. You who make mention of the LORD, do not keep silent, and give Him no rest till He establishes and till He makes Jerusalem (LAS VEGAS) a praise in the earth.”
Isaiah 62:6-7 (NKJV)
Intercession is a vital call in the Christian life. God has placed “watchmen” who remain in prayer for our cities, communities, and families. In this passage, we can apply this mandate to our reality and cry out for Las Vegas to become a place where God works in a transformative way.
Reflections on Interceding for Las Vegas
- A Call to Pray Continuously
God seeks intercessors who do not rest, who pray day and night, crying out for His intervention and direction in our city. Continuous prayer has the power to move heaven and transform the earth. - Give the Lord No Rest
This verse invites us to pray with perseverance and determination. It’s not that God grows weary, but our persistent faith reflects the urgency and commitment to see His work completed. - Pray Until God’s Purpose Is Fulfilled
Our intercession must not cease until God transforms Las Vegas into a place that reflects His glory, love, and justice, becoming a source of pride for its inhabitants.
Gratitude for the Intercessors
Thank God for every person who has responded to the call to pray for our church, Águilas Centro Familiar Cristiano (ACFC), and for Las Vegas:
- For the pastors who cry out passionately for our city.
- For the elders, deacons, mentors, hosts, and facilitators who lift their prayers for the church and the community.
- For the Eaglekids teachers who intercede for the children and their future.
- For every ministry director and servant who prays that their efforts reflect God’s purpose.
- For the members of ACFC and Christian congregations who intercede for Las Vegas to be transformed by the power of the gospel.

Reflect on this
- Do you consider yourself a “watchman” who prays continuously for your church and city?
- What specific areas of Las Vegas or your community need to be included in your prayers?
- How can you encourage others to join in interceding for God’s work in your city?
