WALL OF FIRE
“Then I, myself, will be a protective WALL OF FIRE around Jerusalem,” says the LORD. “And I will be the glory inside the city!”
Zechariah 2:5 (NLT)
A wall symbolizes protection, separation, and strength. When God declares that He Himself will be a wall of fire around His people, He is promising a supernatural level of protection. This wall is not physical but spiritual, designed to preserve, guard, and secure the well-being of His children against the attacks of the enemy.
What does it mean to have a wall of fire?
- It is a divine and impenetrable protection
A wall of fire is not an ordinary barrier; it is a supernatural shield that prevents the enemy from invading our territory. God Himself establishes and sustains it. - God protects every area of our lives
This wall of fire surrounds our family, mind, finances, ministry, and business. No area of our life is left outside of God’s coverage when He raises His protective wall. - It is an active and living protection
Unlike a stone wall that remains static, God’s wall of fire is dynamic and powerful. It is a manifestation of His glory and power, an impenetrable defense against the attacks of the enemy. - God changes the nature of what He touches
Just as the burning bush was not consumed (Exodus 3:2), God transforms the natural into the supernatural. His presence changes our reality and makes us resilient to what would normally harm us. - It is a reminder that His glory dwells within us
This is not just an external wall of protection but also the very presence of God within us. Where His glory resides, there is security, provision, and victory.
“Then I, myself, will be a protective WALL OF FIRE around Jerusalem,” says the LORD. “And I will be the glory inside the city!”
Zechariah 2:5 (NLT)
Think about it:
- Are you trusting in God’s supernatural protection or relying on your own strength?
- Are there areas of your life that need to be surrounded by God’s wall of fire?
- How can you live in the confidence that God is your protector and your glory?
