I Am Just Telling You, Now You Decide
“Today I have told you exactly what he said, but you will not obey the LORD your God any better than you have in the past.”
Jeremiah 42:21 NLT
God always speaks to us. He does so through His Word, our circumstances, the church, and the counsel of spiritual leaders. But in the end, the decision to obey or not, to believe or not, to act or remain still, belongs to us. Jeremiah faithfully delivered God’s message, but the people had to decide whether to obey or follow their own path.
- God speaks to me every day, but I decide whether to obey or not
Reading the Bible is not enough; it is our responsibility to decide whether we will apply what God says or ignore His voice. - I decide whether to heal or not
Healing is a decision. It is an act of faith, obedience, and surrender to God. Participating in the Decisions That Heal series is a personal choice. No one can do it for me. - I decide to tithe by faith or withhold out of fear
God promises blessings to those who trust Him with their finances. However, He also warns that what we withhold in fear is consumed by the devourer. Financial obedience is a decision. - I decide to believe or not believe God’s Word
Faith is not automatic; it is a daily choice. I can choose to trust in God’s promises or live in doubt and fear. - I decide to act on His promises or remain still
God not only gives us promises but also calls us to act upon them. I can either sit and wait or take steps of faith and see His power in action. - I decide to live by people’s opinions or by God’s opinion
The world will always have something to say about who we are and what we do, but what truly matters is what God says about us. - I decide to believe God and live
Jeremiah warned the people about the consequences of their disobedience. They insisted on following their own path and suffered for it.
“So you can be sure that you will die from war, famine, and disease in Egypt, where you insist on going.”
Jeremiah 42:22 NLT
- I decide to believe God and be healed
Healing—spiritual, emotional, and physical—is a promise from God, but I must take hold of it.
“They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
Mark 16:18 NLT
Think About It:
• Are you making decisions based on faith or fear?
• In what area of your life do you need to obey God and trust more in His promises?
• What decision do you need to make today to move forward in your healing and restoration process?
