Good Deeds Also Come to Light
In the same way, the good deeds of some people are obvious. And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light.
1 Timothy 5:25 (NLT)
We live in a society that applauds what is visible—what is posted, what is noticed. However, God has a different perspective. He sees not only what we do in front of others but also what we do in secret, without seeking recognition. In this passage, Paul reminds us that even the good works no one sees will one day be brought to light. Nothing is hidden from God. When we do good, even if no one acknowledges it, He sees it. And more than that, He promises to reward it.
- Some good deeds are visible and recognized
There are times when our good works are evident—a job well done, public help, an act of generosity that others notice. And it is fine to be recognized, but that should not be our main motivation. - Other good deeds are secret but not unnoticed by God
Many times, we serve in silence—we pray for others without them knowing, give financially without being asked, clean, carry, care for… and no one mentions it. But God sees it. And He does not forget. - The true reward comes from God, not from people
As Colossians 3:23-24 says, we work as unto the Lord. Even when people forget, God never will. Our inheritance and reward come from Christ, not from applause. - God is not unjust; He will remember our service
Hebrews 6:10 encourages us with this truth: God is not unjust to forget the love and effort we have shown in serving others. Even if years pass and no one else mentions it, God keeps it in account. - What is hidden from man will be revealed by God
Just as evil can be uncovered, so the good we have done in secret will be exalted by God in His time. That is why we must keep sowing faithfully, even if no one notices right now.
In the same way, the good deeds of some people are obvious. And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light.

Think About It:
• Am I doing good expecting people’s approval, or am I doing it to please God?
• Is there a good work I have stopped doing because I don’t feel valued or seen?
• Am I trusting that God will see and reward everything I do in secret for Him?
