This Will Remind You

This Will Remind You

“You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”
Leviticus 23:42-43 (NKJV)

The Lord asked Israel to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, an annual reminder of how God brought them out of Egypt and sustained them in the wilderness. Even after entering the promised land and enjoying abundance, they had to leave their comfortable houses and live in tents. It was a practical way to never forget who had saved, sustained, and prospered them.

God did not want Israel to forget that everything came from Him. The same is true for us: every blessing, every victory, and every achievement is the fruit of His mighty hand. Keeping that memory alive helps us remain grateful and faithful in every season.

“You shall dwell in booths for seven days. All who are native Israelites shall dwell in booths, that your generations may know that I made the children of Israel dwell in booths when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”
Leviticus 23:42-43 (NKJV)
