A Thousand Years
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.
Revelation 20:6 (NLT)
The book of Revelation may seem complex because of its images and prophecies, but it also contains practical truths for our daily lives. This passage reminds us that, although the future belongs to God and is under His control, that reality should bring peace and rest to our present. Knowing that one day we will reign with Christ for a thousand years encourages us to trust that He is also taking care of every detail today.
- God has control of our present and future
The prophecy of Revelation not only points to what will come but assures us that God already holds everything in His hands. No matter how uncertain the day may be, we can rest in His sovereignty. - Peace is the fruit of trusting in Christ
We can face daily matters—like a call to the bank, a meeting, or a personal situation—with peace, because we know God is watching over us. Faith is reflected in the calmness of our hearts. - The future of the Church is secure
Even though the world faces chaos, the Word tells us that we will reign with Christ. That certainty allows us to look forward without fear and with hope, knowing that the story will end in victory. - We are priests of God in the present
Not only will we be in the millennium—we already are now. Our calling is to serve, intercede, and reflect Christ on earth, living in holiness and faithfulness every day. - Eternity gives us perspective for today
Knowing that the second death has no power over us frees us from fear and motivates us to live with confidence. Our future is sealed in Christ, and that assurance should inspire peace in our daily lives.
If one day we will reign with Christ for a thousand years, we can be certain that even now He is reigning over our lives and circumstances. Everything will be well because our future is already secured in His hands.
Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years.

- What changes in your attitude would show that you truly believe your future is in Christ’s hands?
