Instructions for Enjoying Life

Instructions for Enjoying Life

You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
Deuteronomy 4:40 (NKJV)

This passage reminds us that God’s instructions are not born out of a desire to limit us, but to bless us. God, as a good Father, shows us the path that leads to a full life. Biblical obedience is not a burden; it is an invitation to live better, with peace, stability, and purpose.

God does not ask us to obey to take something away from us, but to give us something better. True wisdom is choosing His ways, because in them we find a full life, with purpose and true enjoyment.

You shall therefore keep His statutes and His commandments which I command you today, that it may go well with you and with your children after you, and that you may prolong your days in the land which the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
Deuteronomy 4:40 (NKJV)

Think About It:

  1. In what area of my life do I need to obey God with greater intention?
  2. Am I seeing obedience as a burden or as a blessing?
  3. What biblical instruction can I apply today to enjoy more fully the life God has given me?
