Enthusiasm, Hurry, Mistakes

Enthusiasm, Hurry, Mistakes

Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.
Proverbs 19:2 (NLT)

This proverb grounds us with practical wisdom. Enthusiasm is a good quality, but by itself it does not guarantee good results. God does not call us to live driven only by emotion, but guided by knowledge, discernment, and proper timing. When hurry takes control, mistakes appear; when wisdom leads, the path is established.

God does not extinguish our enthusiasm; He channels it. When enthusiasm walks alongside knowledge and patience, it produces firm decisions, healthy relationships, and lasting results.

Enthusiasm without knowledge is no good; haste makes mistakes.
Proverbs 19:2 (NLT)

Think About It:

  1. In what area am I acting more out of emotion than wisdom?
  2. What important decision do I need to pause in order to seek counsel and knowledge?
  3. Am I willing to learn and prepare before moving forward, even if it takes more time?
