The Power of the Resurrection

The Power of the Resurrection

You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.
Colossians 2:13–15 (NLT)

This passage takes us to the heart of the gospel. The cross was not a momentary defeat, it was an eternal victory that was fully manifested in the resurrection. Jesus not only died for our sins; He rose to give us new life, real freedom, and spiritual authority. The resurrection changes our past history, transforms our present, and secures our future.

The resurrection is not just something we believe, it is something we live. Christ lives, and because He lives, we also live in freedom, with hope, and with power to walk in a transformed life.

Think About It:

  1. Am I living as someone forgiven and free or as if I still carried debts from the past?
  2. What area of my life needs to align today with Christ’s victory and not with fear?
  3. How can I live this week from the truth that Jesus has already won?
