When the Crowds Trust Us
Large crowds followed Him, and He healed the sick.
Matthew 19:2 (NLT)
This passage reveals how Jesus responded when people began to follow Him in great numbers. Attention, influence, and popularity did not distract Him from His purpose; instead, they became an opportunity to serve. Jesus shows us that true influence does not exist to exalt ourselves, but to bless others.
- Influence is a responsibility, not a trophy
Jesus did not seek fame, but when it came, He used it with purpose. Influence is not something to show off, but an assignment from God that must be handled with humility and love for people. - Jesus used attention to heal, not to serve Himself
While many leaders use popularity for personal gain, Jesus used it to restore lives. Where others see personal advantage, Jesus saw people in need. - The crowds trusted Him because they saw compassion
People followed Jesus because they found genuine care in Him. Authentic compassion builds trust, and trust opens doors to minister healing, hope, and truth. - True greatness is measured by whom you bless
Jesus did not measure success by how many followed Him, but by how many were healed. In the Kingdom of God, greatness is not measured by visibility, but by service. - All influence should point toward relieving human pain
Whether great or small, all influence can be used to heal hearts, lift the fallen, and restore the broken. God watches how we use what He entrusts to us.
When crowds follow us, when others listen to us or place their trust in us, our hearts are revealed. May God grant us the grace to use every opportunity, every platform, and every relationship to bless, heal, and serve, just as Jesus did.
Large crowds followed Him, and He healed the sick.

Think About It:
- How am I using the influence God has given me today?
- Do my decisions bless others or only benefit me?
- In what way can I use my voice, time, or position to bring healing and hope to someone this week?
