Worries
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad.
Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV)
Worry is a silent burden that many of us carry without realizing it. It begins as a thought and ends up affecting the heart, the mind, and the body. God knows we live in a world full of pressure, so His Word does not ignore worry, but shows us how to face it and overcome it.
- Worry produces unnecessary anxiety
When I worry about things I cannot control, my inner life fills with unrest. Anxiety does not solve the problem; it only multiplies emotional exhaustion. - Worry wears down the body and the soul
High levels of stress affect physical and emotional health. Constant worry tires us out, drains our energy, and weakens the inner peace God desires for us. - Worry clouds the mind
When I am worried, I lose clarity to think and make decisions. The mind fills with negative scenarios that rarely happen, yet still affect my present. - God calls me to trust, not to carry everything alone
Jesus reminds us that the Father cares for the birds and the flowers, and that we are far more valuable. Worry adds nothing good to life, but trusting God adds peace. - A word of encouragement changes the weight of the heart
Just as worry weighs us down, the right word brings encouragement. God uses His Word, His Spirit, and other people to remind us that we are not alone and that He already knows our needs.
Life will always bring challenges, but I am not called to live crushed by them. God invites me to do my part responsibly and to rest in Him with what is beyond my control. Peace comes when I release worry and embrace trust.
Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression,
But a good word makes it glad.
Proverbs 12:25 (NKJV)
Think About It:
- What worry am I carrying today that I should surrender to God?
- Am I trying to control things that are not my responsibility?
- Who can I encourage today with a word that lightens their burden?
