Dying to Live

Dying to Live

(Kingdom Principle)

“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else.”
Mark 10:43–44 (NLT)

In the Kingdom of God, things don’t work the way they do in the world. Outside, many people want to climb, be seen, be recognized, and have control. But Jesus teaches us a completely different path: the path of the cross — where you win by losing, you live by dying, and you lead by serving. This principle is not weakness; it is spiritual power. Because when ego dies, purpose is born; when pride dies, the character of Christ is revealed.

God is raising up a church that doesn’t seek thrones, but towels; that doesn’t seek applause, but fruit; that doesn’t seek to be served, but to serve. Dying to live is the way of the Kingdom: ego dies, purpose lives; pride dies, love is born; self-sufficiency dies, and the power of God is revealed. And when you embrace this principle, your life becomes a tool in the hands of the Lord.

“But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else.”
Mark 10:43–44 (NLT)

Think About It:

  1. What part of your “self” do you need to surrender today so Christ can rule your life more?
  2. In what area can you serve this week without expecting recognition?
  3. Are you seeking positions, or are you seeking to become more like Jesus?
