Learn to Love Your Connection Group
All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals (including the Lord’s Supper), and to prayer… All the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had.
Acts 2:42, 44 (NLT)
The main purpose of life is to learn how to love. God could have created us and taken us directly to heaven, but He chose to place us in community because true love is learned in relationship with others. One of the best places to grow in love is a Connection Group, where God uses real people—with strengths and weaknesses—to shape us into the image of Christ.
- The connection group is a laboratory for learning to love
In small groups we practice love intentionally. There we learn patience, forgiveness, service, and grace. Love does not develop in isolation, but through shared life. - God shapes us through community
The church is a gift from God to encourage us, strengthen us, and help us grow spiritually. Learning to love God and others is a lesson that can only be developed by walking together. - Loving means living with people who are different
It is not always easy to love those who think differently or make us uncomfortable. However, God uses those differences to shape our character and teach us to love as Jesus loves. - Jesus showed us that love is lived out daily
Jesus spent His life surrounded by people—in homes, on roads, in markets, and in temples. He loved people as they were, with patience and truth. That kind of love is only learned in the midst of everyday relationships. - Love is a commitment, not just a feeling
Biblical love does not depend on emotions; it is a daily decision. In a Connection Group we choose to love because God first loved us. That commitment produces deep and lasting growth.
Loving is not always easy, but when we choose to commit to a community of faith, God does something powerful: He helps us grow together in ways we could never achieve on our own. In fellowship, we learn to love more deeply and to become more like Christ.

Think About It:
- What do you think God wants to teach you through living with people you find difficult to love?
- How is your commitment to your Connection Group shaping your Christian character?
- What practical decision can you make to love your group more intentionally this week?
