The Real Problem is Losing Hope

The Real Problem is Losing Hope

There is hope only for the living. As they say, “It’s better to be a live dog than a dead lion!” Ecclesiastes 9:4 (NLT)

Hope is one of the most powerful forces that God has placed within the human heart. As long as there is life, there is opportunity, there is purpose, and there is a future that God can transform. The enemy knows that if he manages to steal hope, he can weaken faith and extinguish vision. But God reminds us that the simple fact of being alive is evidence that His plan still continues and that He still has something to do in us and through us.

Do not allow circumstances to steal your hope. As long as you have life, God has an active purpose for you. He can restore what was lost, heal what was wounded, and open new paths. Cling to the hope that comes from Him, because that hope will give you the strength to move forward.

Think About It:

  1. Have I allowed circumstances to weaken my hope?
  2. Am I trusting in God’s promises for my future?
  3. What step can I take today to renew my hope in the Lord?
