We Reproduce What We Are

We Reproduce What We Are

“And what the priests do, the people also do. So now I will punish both priests and people for their wicked deeds. They will eat and still be hungry. They will play the prostitute and gain nothing from it, for they have deserted the Lord to worship other gods.” Hosea 4:9 (NLT)

God establishes a clear spiritual principle: what we are internally is what we eventually produce externally. In this passage, the Lord shows that the people reflected the spiritual condition of their leaders. This teaches us that our lives do not only affect us, but also those around us. Our character, our decisions, and our relationship with God directly influence what we reproduce in others.

God wants to form in you a firm character and a genuine faith, because He knows that your life will impact others. If you want to reproduce blessing, you must begin by cultivating a deep relationship with Him. What you allow God to form inside of you will be what manifests through your life.

“And what the priests do, the people also do. So now I will punish both priests and people for their wicked deeds. They will eat and still be hungry. They will play the prostitute and gain nothing from it, for they have deserted the Lord to worship other gods.” Hosea 4:9 (NLT)
