New creation: peace with your past

New creation: peace with your past

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17

One of the heaviest burdens a believer can carry is the weight of their life before knowing the Lord. The mistakes, the guilt, and the labels of yesterday often try to steal our peace in our present with God. However, the apostle Paul gives us a definitive legal and spiritual truth: an encounter with Christ is not a simple cosmetic improvement of our behavior, but a total regeneration of our being. For the church, understanding that we are a “new person” is the key to closing the door on the past and walking in the freedom that Jesus bought on the cross. In God, your story is not defined by your failures, but by the finished work of the Savior.

Living as a new creation is the greatest act of faith we can perform in the face of yesterday’s accusations. Do not allow the ghosts of your past to prevent you from enjoying the inheritance you have today. If God says you are new, then you are new, regardless of what your feelings or others may say. Embrace this truth, lift your head, and walk with the security of one who knows that their life has been reset by the power of the resurrection. Your past no longer has jurisdiction over your present; today you are free to love, serve, and shine with the light of Jesus.

This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17
