Authority Brings Order

Authority Brings Order

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. Romans 13:1-2 NLT

The concept of authority is fundamental to understanding the functioning of the Kingdom of God and human society. The apostle Paul teaches us that order is not an accident, but the result of a divine design that establishes hierarchies for our protection and well-being. In a world that often exalts absolute independence and rebellion as forms of freedom, the Bible reminds us that true order is born from a heart that recognizes God’s sovereignty reflected in the institutions and people He has allowed to lead us.

Living under authority requires humility and a deep faith that God is able to work even through imperfect leaders. When we decide to honor the order He has instituted, we are declaring that we trust more in His sovereignty than in our own opinions. Order brings peace, peace brings clarity, and clarity allows us to fulfill the purpose that heaven has traced for us. Let us, then, be examples of integrity and respect, reflecting the character of Christ, who being the King of kings, perfectly submitted to the Father’s will.

Everyone must submit to governing authorities. For all authority comes from God, and those in positions of authority have been placed there by God. So anyone who rebels against authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and they will be punished. Romans 13:1-2 NLT
