Be Strong and Courageous, for Your Work Will Be Rewarded
“But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7 NLT
After a miraculous victory over the Cushite army, the prophet Azariah was sent by God to meet King Asa with a message of encouragement and warning for all the people of Judah and Benjamin. For a long time, Israel had lived far from the true God, without divine instruction or the peace that His presence produces. Azariah reminded the king that the Lord’s presence would always be with them as long as they remained faithful to Him, encouraging them not to stop in the process of spiritual restoration. This passage demonstrates to us that, although the labor of living in faithfulness to God requires steadfastness against the current of the world, every effort made out of love for Him carries an eternal promise of support.
- The temptation of fatigue in the Christian life: Even after experiencing great spiritual victories, it is possible to feel physical or emotional exhaustion, but the word of God invites us not to give up.
- The need for courage to remain faithful: Following the paths of the Lord and eliminating idols from the heart requires decisive courage to make firm choices every day.
- The constant pursuit of the Creator: The divine presence is not a fleeting achievement, but an ongoing relationship that is nurtured when we seek the Lord with all our heart and soul.
- The certainty of divine reward: No work, sacrifice, or service rendered in the Kingdom of God is insignificant, for the Lord keeps in memory the faithfulness of His children.
Dear church, let us not allow discouragement or the pressures of daily life to extinguish our passion for serving the Lord. Let us continue building our lives, families, and ministry on biblical truth, trusting fully that God sees every step of faith we take and will honor our perseverance in due time.
