Raising a Generation That Serves God

Raising a Generation That Serves God

Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the Lord. Psalms 102:18 NLT

Beloved church, we find ourselves in an era where the distractions and currents of this world attempt to drag the hearts of our youth and children away from the truth. Throughout Scripture, we see God’s deep desire for His name and His wonders to be known from generation to generation. The psalmist understands that our relationship with God today is not only for our own personal benefit, but must leave a documented, living, and passionate spiritual legacy. Our responsibility as believers does not end with our own salvation; it extends to the immense and glorious task of discipling, guiding, and equipping those who come behind us, ensuring that there is a seed planted that will bear fruit when we are no longer here, so that the Lord continues to be worshiped.

The future of the church and the expansion of the kingdom of God on earth depend on how we are forming those who will take our place tomorrow. We cannot afford to be a generation that only seeks its own spiritual comfort. We are called to build altars of worship so firm that those not yet born will find the path prepared to meet their Savior. Let us dedicate our time, our resources, and our prayers to inspiring children and youth to love Jesus Christ above all things. When we commit to passing the torch of the gospel with passion, truth, and grace, we guarantee that the name of the Lord will be exalted eternally and that His purpose will never stop moving forward in the midst of humanity.

Let this be recorded for future generations, so that a people not yet born will praise the Lord. Psalms 102:18 NLT

Think About It:
What kind of spiritual legacy are you leaving today for your family or the youth of your congregation through your daily testimony?
When was the last time you shared with someone younger a real and tangible testimony of what God has done in your life?
In what intentional way can you get involved this very week in guiding, praying for, or encouraging a child or young person so they can discover their purpose in God?
