Your Work Is Blessed When God Is First

Your Work Is Blessed When God Is First

And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful! Psalms 90:17 NLT

Dear church, many times we spend a large part of our lives striving in our daily labors, seeking sustenance, professional growth, and economic stability. However, in the midst of the daily worry, it is easy to forget that work is not just a secular activity, but a platform where we manifest our faith. The psalmist Moses deeply understood this, and at the end of his prayer, he did not ask for automatic riches or comfort, but for the favor and approval of God upon the works of his hands. When we realign our priorities and place the Lord in the first place of our working life, our human strength connects with divine favor, transforming ordinary effort into a blessed fruit with an eternal purpose.

Beloved brothers, the secret to a fulfilling, productive, and blessed working life does not lie in overtime hours of sleeplessness or in strategies of human competition, but in the correct order of our affections and priorities. When God occupies the throne of your entire life, your hands work with peace, your mind produces with clarity, and your daily efforts receive the unmistakable seal of heaven’s prosperity. Never separate your spiritual life from your work responsibilities; on the contrary, carry the presence, love, and testimony of Christ into your offices, workshops, businesses, and homes. Allow the Lord to be the principal partner in each of your projects, and you will see how His infinite grace confirms and consolidates every step you take in your walk.

And may the Lord our God show us his approval and make our efforts successful. Yes, make our efforts successful! Psalms 90:17 NLT

Think About It:
In what areas of your working life have you been relying more on your own abilities than on the guidance and approval of God?
What practical changes can you make to your daily routine to consciously surrender your workday to the Lord before beginning it?
In what concrete way can you reflect the character of Christ, honesty, and excellence in your work environment during this week?
