God Has Plans for Welfare and Hope

God Has Plans for Welfare and Hope

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT

These words were addressed to the Israelites in a period of deep discouragement, when they were in captivity in Babylon, far from their land and surrounded by uncertainty. In the midst of that harsh reality, God did not promise them an instant deliverance, but instead revealed the supreme purpose that would guide their lives through the trial. This passage reminds us that, even when present circumstances suggest otherwise, God’s sovereignty writes our story with intentions of grace, purpose, and restoration.

Trusting in the Lord’s plans does not mean being exempt from moments of trial or waiting, but knowing that every stage of life is under His loving care. When we decide to let go of our own fears and rest in His sovereignty, we find the peace that surpasses all understanding. His love has mapped out a path full of purpose for us, ensuring that the end of our story will always be kept in His faithfulness.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the LORD. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11 NLT
