Is Not My Word Like Fire?

Is Not My Word Like Fire?

“Is not my word like fire,” asks the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?”
Jeremiah 23:29 NLT

In the days of the prophet Jeremiah, God’s people were surrounded by false voices offering accommodated messages to please people and disguise sin. Faced with this spiritual confusion, the Lord confronted deception by revealing the true nature of His voice. The Word of God is not human discourse or passive thought; it is a living, penetrating truth filled with divine authority. When God speaks, His message acts with power to purify intentions, destroy what is vain, and deeply transform everyone who receives it.

As a Church, we are called to return to the centrality of the Scriptures with humility and obedience. Let us not seek answers in human opinions or fleeting emotions, but in the transforming authority of the Lord’s voice. Let us allow His Truth to examine every area of our life today, consume sin, soften our heart, and guide us to walk faithfully according to His will.
