See, I care about you
“See, I care about you, and I will pay attention to you. Your ground will be plowed and your crops planted. I will greatly increase the population of Israel, and the ruined cities will be rebuilt and filled with people. I will increase not only the people, but also your animals. O mountains of Israel, I will bring people to live on you once again. I will make you even more prosperous than you were before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.” Ezekiel 36:9-11 NLT
Sometimes, life’s circumstances make us feel that we are alone or that our needs go unnoticed in the eyes of God. The people of Israel also found themselves in a moment of desolation, feeling that they had lost their way and their land. However, the Lord addresses them to remind them that they have not been forgotten. These prophetic words show us the heart of a Father who not only observes our situation from afar, but actively intervenes to bring restoration, growth, and prosperity to all those who trust in Him.
- God cares about people For our heavenly Father, the most important thing always is and will be people. When we take a recount of our lives and look back, we can say with deep gratitude that, through the years, the Lord has constantly shown us that He truly cares about us.
- God pays attention to our circumstances Sometimes we think our struggles go unnoticed, but God pays attention to the specific circumstances of each person, including you and your family. Knowing that His gaze is upon us allows us to feel secure and fully confident in the midst of any difficult circumstance, with the certainty that He will fulfill His purpose in our lives.
- God brings an abundant harvest of souls The Lord promised to greatly increase the population of Israel and cause its territories to be filled with people. In our spiritual and ministerial context, those new inhabitants speak to us directly of souls; they announce to us a growth in the kingdom and a precious harvest of people who will come to know Christ.
- God prospers us more than before His promise of restoration was complete when He declared: “I will increase not only the people, but also your animals… I will make you even more prosperous than you were before. Then you will know that I am the LORD.” That multiplication and those animals speak to us that the children of God will have successful businesses, good jobs, and material goods provided by His hand to be a blessing in this world.
When we deeply understand that God cares about us and that His attention is focused on our lives, our way of facing everyday life changes completely. We no longer live dominated by uncertainty or the fear of lack, but with the full assurance that we are on heaven’s agenda. Just like the people of Israel, we can be sure that the Lord will not only restore us from our past failures, but He will multiply us and make us more prosperous than we were before. Our only response to such unconditional love should be to live for Him, trusting that every detail of our family, ministry, and finances is under the control and watchful eye of our good Father.
