Will Live Again
“This is what the Sovereign LORD says: The people of Israel will again live in their own land, the land I gave my servant Jacob. For I will gather them from the distant lands where I have scattered them. I will reveal to the nations of the world my holiness among my people.” Ezekiel 28:25 NLT
The phrase that catches our attention the most when reading this prophetic passage is: “will again live.” Sometimes, the blows of life are so hard that we can come to feel as if the whole world is ending when going through deep problems. However, the great truth that Scripture gives us to fill us with hope is that life goes on, that with God’s unconditional help we will move forward and we will live again.
- The impact of family failures Sometimes, when an important project fails within the family, it is very natural for us to question whether we will be able to move forward. But in the midst of that painful uncertainty, the Bible encourages us and emphatically assures us: you will live again! Your family and your marriage will have life again.
- Hope in the face of ministerial crisis When we experience a failure in ministry or in our service to God, the doubt can be deafening and scream that everything is over right here. Nevertheless, above that voice of defeat and accusation, God Himself shouts loudly to us that we will live again and be useful in His hands.
- Restoration after financial collapse If we go through a severe financial failure and see a business go bankrupt, we can be strongly tempted to think that it is the end of all our effort. However, even in the face of material ruin, God’s promise remains firm, declaring that we will live again.
- God’s breath over what seems dry Just as it is narrated later in chapter 37, where God commanded a message to be announced to the dry bones, assuring that He would put His breath inside them so that they would live again, that same promise applies to us today. It is His sovereign Spirit that has the unique ability to breathe new life into the midst of our greatest desolation.
It is very easy to let ourselves be carried away by discouragement when circumstances show us a panorama of destruction, loss, or total paralysis. However, we serve a God who specializes in restoration, capable of revealing His power in the sight of everyone by lifting us from our worst falls. No matter the area in which we have felt that the world is ending for us; if we keep trusting in the Sovereign Lord, we can be completely sure that our story does not end in defeat, but in a new and glorious beginning full of His life.

- What thoughts of defeat or doom must you abandon in order to embrace the promise of restoration that God offers you?
- Dedicate some time in prayer to surrender to the Lord that project or relationship that seems to have failed, fully trusting that He has the power to bring it back to life.
