Different Levels of Relational Bonds

Different Levels of Relational Bonds

Six days later Jesus took Peter, James, and John, and led them up a high mountain to be alone. As the men watched, Jesus’ appearance was transformed, Mark 9:2 NLT

In life and in our walk with God, it is fundamental to understand that not all the relationships we form have the same degree of maturity or depth. It is completely natural that, even within the circle of people we love and serve in the church, there exist different levels of trust, commitment, and spiritual development. Jesus Himself modeled this principle for us by choosing three of His closest disciples to go apart to a high mountain and allowing them to witness a unique dimension of His glory.

Learning to manage our relationships with wisdom frees us from unnecessary disappointments and allows us to lead with a healthy and transparent heart. God calls us to love everyone without reservation and to be a blessing to each person in their stage of growth, but He also teaches us to diligently care for that inner circle that guards our faith and inspires us to fulfill our divine purpose. When our affections and priorities align with those of Christ, our lives flourish and leave a strong legacy for the next generations.
