Each upper floor was wider than the one below

Each upper floor was wider than the one below

Each level was wider than the one below it, corresponding to the narrowing of the Temple wall as it rose higher. A stairway led up from the bottom level through the middle level to the top level. Ezekiel 41:7 NLT

Ezekiel receives a detailed vision of the new temple, obtaining precise instructions about its dimensions and structure. Upon observing the side floors, he notices a fascinating architectural detail: as the building rose, the walls became thinner, allowing each upper floor to be wider than the lower one. This design represents not only a construction detail, but reveals to us a powerful spiritual principle about expansion, growth, and the legacy that God expects from each generation in His work.

In God’s design, stagnation is not an option. He has called us to build upon the foundations that others have left, but with the vision of making things even greater and with greater reach. Just as the structure of the temple widened upward, our influence, faith, and capacity to bless must grow year after year and from generation to generation. Let us take on the challenge of widening our ministry, our mentality, and our vision, ensuring that those who come behind us have a broader platform from which they can reach this world for the glory of the Lord.
