Triumphing Momentarily or Permanently

It is very common in our daily walk to observe how some people who act with deceit or malice seem to prosper quickly. Seeing cheating people in business or fools succeed can cause us annoyance and even make us wonder why these things happen. However, the Word of God reminds us that we should not despair or envy that kind of achievement, since all that apparent triumph is deceptive and has an expiration date. The success that is truly worth building is that which endures and is grounded on eternal principles.
- The success of fools is only temporary It is true that we sometimes see cheating people prosper faster than honest people, but this triumph is merely temporary. The Bible warns us that those who prosper through foolishness may triumph momentarily, but in the end, sudden calamity will come to them.
- Permanent success is based on the fear of God True and permanent success is not achieved with human shortcuts, but is based on the fear of God. This reverent respect for the Lord is the base and solid foundation for building a life of long-term spiritual, family, social, and financial success.
- True blessing enriches without adding sorrow Living in the fear of God provides us with true blessing. Unlike ill-gotten riches that bring worry and stress, the blessing that comes from the Lord is what truly enriches a person and adds no sorrow with it.
- God guarantees us divine protection Walking in uprightness and the fear of God also gives us protection against adversities. Scripture promises us that, even if others cheat, the Lord will rescue us from multiple disasters and keep us from evil at all times so that we can enjoy His peace.
Faced with the injustices of this world, we have the option to choose what kind of life we want to build. Although the ways of society offer quick rewards, these vanish as quickly as they arrived. If we decide to maintain our integrity and honor God in all our actions, we will not only ensure a permanent triumph, but we will enjoy a peace and security that no trap or temporary wealth can offer us. Preferring permanent triumph will always be our best decision in life.
