Do not criticize the rich, Part II

DO NOT CRITICIZE THE RICH, BUT TEACH THEM
Part 2

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. (1 Timothy 6:17 NLT)

Instead of judging and envying the rich let’s read this verse and learn a couple of things that we can do:

1. Teach them to not be prideful.
2. Teach them to not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable.
3. To place their trust on God.
4. To enjoy what God has given them.

Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment (1 Timothy 6:17b NLT)

5. To enjoy but to not love the money because it is dangerous.

For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows. (1 Timothy 6:10 NLT)

6. To be generous.

Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. (1 Timothy 6:18 NLT)

7. Learn the discipline and the habits of successful people.
· So that God can give us in abundance.
· To enjoy the abundance God gives us,
· To be generous with the abundance and share with others.

It is not bad to be rich. It all depends on what type of rich people we are.

Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. (1 Timothy 6:17 NLT)

Think:

What place does money have in your life?
In what way do you enjoy the abundance God has given you?
How long has it been since you shared your blessings with others?
