Were or are you?

WERE OR ARE YOU?

Judas WAS one of us and shared in the ministry with us. (Acts 1:17 NLT)

1.- God’s purpose for Judas was not that his ministry be temporary, rather the intention was for Judas to fulfill his ministry and not stay halfway.
Judas at one time “WAS” one of the apostles, yet later, he wasn’t.
The original intention was for it to be written of Judas as the verb “IS” an apostle, the opposite of “WAS” one of us.

2. Those who conform to the word “WAS” and leave things in halfway end up “burst”

Judas had bought a field with the money he received for his treachery. Falling headfirst there, his body burst open, spilling out all his intestines. (Acts 1:18 NLT)

3.- I don’t want it to be written about me as someone who “WAS”, who left things halfway, or someone who failed in his mission.

  • I want to “BE” what God wanted in the beginning for me to be.
  • I don’t want it to be written about me that “I WAS” a good husband, that “I was” a good pastor but that I sold myself for money, sex or for fame.
  • I always want to “BE” that excellent husband and apostle until the Lord returns or until I finish my assignment on earth.

Think about it:

“WERE” you a good husband and father?
“WERE” you someone who loved God, served, gave offerings, prayed and enjoyed a house of peace or “ARE YOU” still?
