DON’T LOSE SIGHT OF WHO YOU ARE
When people are in crisis and they don’t take care of themselves, they lose sight of who they are. Losing sight of God’s purpose for their life, they begin to feel depressed. They sit in front of the television all day, eating all day, and lose their purpose. Some students who get only A’s, if not careful, can lower their grades.
The problem is that when we lose sight of who we are in Christ, we tend to go back to the old ways, the mind returns once again to those thoughts of destruction. How many people have I seen fall into temptation! They are worn down by stress and filled with so much bad news, and they begin to give way to toxic emotions in their hearts.
How many good Christians have I seen taking off their holy vestments and going back to the old ways! I have seen young people, adults, men, and women succumb to the pressure of the crisis. We must not lose our identity!
Don’t return to the pressure of this crisis to your past sins, don’t return to alcoholism, don’t return to adultery, witchcraft, fornication, to your old addictions. Don’t lose sight of who you are in Christ!
Put on holy vestments, of faith, of salvation, of royalty. God dressed us to be kings and priests to minister in his presence.
Think about it:
Have you been spiritually neglected in this time of crisis?
What garments are people seeing you in?
What are you doing during this crisis?
