I must live with care and alertness – Part 1

I MUST LIVE WITH CARE AND ALERTNESS
Part 1

“These are your instructions for eating this meal: Be fully dressed, wear your sandals, and carry your walking stick in your hand. Eat the meal with urgency, for this is the Lord’s Passover. (Exodus or 12:11 NLT)

I remember when I was part ROTC at school I listened to the word “attention”, and then came orders such as: “Fall in, march, quick march, halt” etc.

The word “attention” spoke to me of being “alert for”, “ready for”, “prepared for”, etc.

Likewise, this verse speaks to me words such as “dressed, sandals, walking stick, eating in a hurry” because there is urgency.

“These are your instructions for eating this meal: Be fully dressed, wear your sandals, and carry your walking stick in your hand. Eat the meal with urgency, for this is the Lord’s Passover. (Exodus or 12:11 NLT)

This passage tells me at least two things:
1. We must be ready for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus returns and we must be clothed in holiness and with the shoes of the gospel.

To be continued…

Think About It:

Why do you think it is urgent to be ready for the coming of the Lord?
Are you ready if Jesus came for his church today?
Are you living in holiness?
