WHY ISN’T THIS BUSH CONSUMED?
Part 2
“This is amazing,” Moses said to himself. “Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it.” (Exodus 3:3 NLT)
Let us look at several supernatural things that happened:
1. God appeared to Moses.
There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. (Exodus 3:2 NLT)
2. God changed the nature of the bush.
Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up.

The fire was not figurative, it was real.
The fire was not the miracle, the miracle was that the molecular composition of the bush was changed, the matter of a plant was momentarily transformed into another material that fire does not affect. It was not consumed!
