And there was war again – part 3

AND THERE WAS WAR AGAIN

Part 3

And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant (1 Chronicles 20:6 KJV)

We have been talking for two days, of six things that we must do when we feel that we are at war and that problems appear as giants, and today we will learn two more things to not get burnt out or tired.

We must learn that:

  1. Problems make the heart sick. We must learn to protect our heart in order to not get poisoned. If we do not take care of our heart then it will get sick, that is why we see sick marriages, sick children, sick churches, because there is no peace in the heart. Life is not enjoyed.

We must not let problems sicken our heart, because once the heart is sick the rest of your life is wasted, that is why we must learn to protect our heart in the midst of problems and wars.

Guard your heart above all else,

for it determines the course of your life. (Prov. 4:23 NLT)

  1. Learn the power of the word “together: to be able to overcome problems and battles. You can’t conquer giants by yourself, we are better when we help each other. Surround yourself with your spiritual family and do not stay alone, ask for help, ask for prayer.

Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 NLT)

Think about it:

Have you allowed your problems to sicken your heart?

What can you do to guard your heart above all else?

Have you tried to resolve the problems by yourself or do you seek help from your spiritual family?
