Quickly We Forgot – part 2

QUICKLY WE FORGOT – PART 2

Yet how QUICKLY THEY FORGOT what he had done!
They wouldn’t wait for his counsel!  (Psalms 106:13 NLT)

Yesterday we learned that human beings tend to forget what God has done for us in the past, and that we remember more the wounds they have caused us. But, when we forget what God has done, then……

4. They wouldn’t.
When we forget what God has done, we can become a negative person.

5. They wouldn’t wait
We do not wait. On the contrary, we despair.
We become impatient.
We become unbelievers, because we lose faith to “expect” God’s response.

6. They wouldn’t wait for God’s counsel.
I never want to ignore God’s advice. Therefore, I will always meditate on all that God has done for me in the past, be grateful for the good He does in the present and expect with faith that He will continue to do good things in the future, just as He did before.

Yet how QUICKLY THEY FORGOT what he had done!
They wouldn’t wait for his counsel!  (Psalms 106:13 NLT)

Think about it:
Are you one of those who soon forget the good that God has done or are you one of those who always remember it and live gratefully?
Are you a person of faith or do you despair in the face of problems and lose it?
Why do you think it is important to remember everything God has done?
