God Himself Will Drive Them Out
I Myself will drive them out from before the children of Israel; only divide it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
Joshua 13:6 (NKJV)
This passage reminds me that the progress of God’s people has never depended solely on human strength. From the beginning, the Lord made it clear that He Himself would take care of removing what seemed too strong or impossible. Looking back, I can recognize how God has been present, faithful, and active, removing obstacles so that His purpose can move forward.
- God’s presence is indispensable for moving forward
From the very start of the calling, security is not found in personal ability, but in God’s companionship. Moving forward without His presence is not worth it; moving forward with Him makes everything possible. - God takes care of the enemies I cannot defeat
There are obstacles that exceed our strength, but not God’s. He sees what is ahead and goes before us, removing from the path what could stop us. - My responsibility is to obey and walk in His ways
God promises to clear the route, but I must make sure to follow His instructions. Obedience keeps me aligned with His protection and provision. - Looking back strengthens faith for the future
Remembering how God has acted before fills us with confidence for what lies ahead. If He has done it once, He can do it again. - God watches over the future of His work and His children
Nothing takes the Lord by surprise. He continues working, preparing the way, and ensuring that His purpose is fulfilled, even when I cannot see how.
Walking with God brings deep peace: not everything depends on me. As long as I obey and move forward faithfully, He will take care of removing from the path everything that tries to stop His plan.
I Myself will drive them out from before the children of Israel; only divide it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you.
Joshua 13:6 (NKJV)
Think About It:
- What obstacle am I trying to face in my own strength instead of trusting God?
- Am I walking faithfully in the paths He has shown me?
- What past evidence of God’s faithfulness helps me trust Him with my future today?
