He brought me

He brought me

Then the man brought me back to the east gateway in the outer wall of the Temple area, but it was closed. Then the man brought me through the north gateway to the front of the Temple. I looked and saw that the glory of the Lord filled the Temple of the Lord, and I fell face down on the ground. Ezekiel 44:1, 4 NLT

In the vision of the new temple, the prophet Ezekiel does not wander aimlessly or choose his own course, but is guided step by step by a divine messenger. The constant repetition of the phrase indicating how this being brought him from one place to another highlights the enormous importance of heavenly direction in our daily lives. Just as the prophet was led exactly to the right places to be able to behold the majestic glory of God, we too need to surrender our will and allow the Lord to direct each of our steps.

Walking under the direction of the Lord guarantees that we will always arrive at the correct destination. When we renounce our human need to control every detail and yield the helm to God, we discover that His routes lead us to behold His presence and live in fullness. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to be our daily guide, trusting that His plans are perfect and that each new season or assignment in our journey has an unbreakable divine purpose.
