We Are Healed When We Gather
“These men called together their fellow Levites, and they all purified themselves. Then they began to cleanse the Temple of the LORD, just as the king had commanded. They were careful to follow all the LORD’s instructions in their work.”
2 Chronicles 29:15 NLT
Healing is not just an individual process but also a collective one. In the Bible, we see that God’s people experienced purification and restoration when they gathered to seek the Lord and obey His instructions. This teaches us that true spiritual, emotional, and relational healing happens in community.
- We heal together
Healing happens when we choose to gather in connection groups and walk together in the process of transformation. In the Decisions That Heal series, we will learn how God uses community to bring restoration.
“These men called together their fellow Levites, and they all purified themselves…”
2 Chronicles 29:15 NLT
- We heal when we gather in church
God designed us to live in community. When we come together and learn together, we strengthen our faith and experience restoration. Healing is not a one-time event but a continuous process that happens in God’s presence and in the fellowship of our brothers and sisters in faith.
“These men called together their fellow Levites, and… Then they began to cleanse the Temple of the LORD…”
2 Chronicles 29:15 NLT
- We heal when we commit to purification
In the Bible, purification represents healing. Just as the Levites purified themselves and cleansed the temple, we need to allow God to cleanse our hearts, emotions, and spiritual lives. This happens when we expose ourselves to His Word and fellowship with other believers. - We heal when we follow the Lord’s instructions
We cannot heal in our own way; we must do it according to God’s will. Obedience to His principles leads us to a life of freedom and restoration.
“These men called together their fellow Levites, and they all purified themselves…”
2 Chronicles 29:15 NLT
Think About It:
• Have you isolated yourself in your healing process, or are you seeking community?
• How can you take advantage of this year to allow God to restore you?
• What steps can you take to gather more with other believers and receive the healing God has for you?
