So easy, yet so difficult

SO EASY, YET SO DIFFICULT

He called out, “Fellows, have you caught any fish?” “No,” they replied. Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. (John 21:5-6 NLT)

When we follow God’s instructions, our lives will always be better.

Product manufacturers generally include instructions in the box on how to use it: how to take the medicine, how to assemble the product, etc. When the instructions aren’t followed, there are accidents such as burns, allergic reactions, etc.

In the same way, God has given us instructions to follow so that our life goes well. This shouldn’t be too complicated, but when we don’t follow the instructions, we cause unnecessary problems to ourselves and others.

When we begin to trust God with our lives, and decide to believe and obey his instructions, then we begin to see success with less effort and not having to commit fraud.
The disciples had worked all night using human strategies, and they had not fished anything. But when they followed Jesus’ specific instructions, and threw their net to the right, then they fished many fish and saw that success can be much easier to achieve when we obey and surrender to God.

It should be so easy to follow instructions.

Then he said, “Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you’ll get some!” So they did, and they couldn’t haul in the net because there were so many fish in it. (John 21:6 NLT)

Think about it:

What consequences have you had to suffer for not following God’s instructions?
Are you tired of fighting in your own strength and not seeing results? What area do you need to surrender to God? What do you think can get better in your life if you begin to follow God’s instructions?
