Defined purpose

DEFINED PURPOSE

This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel. (Ezra 7:10 NLT)

Ezra had clearly decided what to do with his life.
Many people go through this life wasting their time. They never achieve anything significant because they are always trying to imitate others, to achieve the fame of others, they are influenced by the fashion and opinions of others, etc.
These people go unnoticed in life, no one remembers them, because they live without a defined purpose.
Instead, Ezra remained in the memories of the Bible as a great leader who lived with a defined purpose and the kind hand of God was with him, because:

1. He decided to study.
2. He decided to obey what he studied.
3. He decided to teach others what he learned.

…for the gracious hand of his God was on him. This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel. (Ezra 7:9-10 NLT)

Think about it:

What have you decided to do in your life?
Do you want the kind hand of God to be on you?
Have you decided to learn the Word of God and obey it?
Would you be willing to teach others the Word of God?
