They Moved in Unity

They Moved in Unity

“When the cherubim moved, the wheels moved with them. When they lifted their wings to fly, the wheels stayed beside them. When the cherubim stopped, the wheels stopped. When they flew upward, the wheels rose up, for the spirit of the living beings was in the wheels.”
Ezekiel 10:16–17 (NLT)

Reflection
The prophet Ezekiel witnessed an awe‑inspiring vision of heavenly motion: cherubim and wheels moving in perfect coordination. What stood out was not just the movement, but the unity—each action joined, without division, delay, or self‑interest. This image teaches us a powerful truth: when God’s people move in unity, under the same leading of the Spirit, the glory of the Lord is revealed. In this season, the “Decisions That Heal” series invites us to walk together as a church, with one purpose and one spirit:

  • Unity means moving at the same time
Just as the cherubim and the wheels moved in sync, we must advance together. Healing in our city requires that no one be left behind.
  • Unity requires a shared direction
It’s not enough to move; we must move toward the same destination. When all our hearts focus on Jesus and His healing work, our collective impact is magnified.
  • Unity makes it possible to pause together
In our walk with God there are moments to press forward and moments to wait. Unity is proven in seasons of pause, as we seek His instruction together.
  • Unity brings forth the manifestation of God’s glory
After the living beings moved in unity, the glory of the Lord became visible. God’s presence is revealed not in chaos, but in the spiritual harmony of His people.
  • Águilas moves in unity to heal our city
During this series, we choose to move as one body—not as isolated individuals, but as a united church longing for many lives, marriages, and families to experience God’s healing.

“Then the glory of the Lord moved out from the entrance of the Temple and hovered above the cherubim.”
Ezekiel 10:18 (NLT)

Think About It

  1. Am I walking in unity with my church, group, or spiritual family?
  2. Are there personal attitudes that might be hindering the unity of the body?
  3. How can I intentionally join in God’s movement in this series to see His glory in my city?
