We Heal as We Celebrate – Part 1
We heal as we celebrate in our midweek Connection Group.
We heal as we celebrate Sunday services in the temple.
“So a huge crowd assembled at Jerusalem in midspring to celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread.”
2 Chronicles 30:13 NLT
“And the LORD listened to Hezekiah’s prayer and healed the people.”
2 Chronicles 30:20 NLT
In this passage, we see how the people gathered to celebrate the Passover, and in the midst of that celebration, God brought healing. This shows us that healing does not only happen in moments of reflection and solitude but also in fellowship and celebration.
As I read this passage, I find three key elements for our healing that were present in this celebration:
- I need the Spirit of God to heal
True healing does not depend solely on our effort or determination but on the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. There are changes we simply cannot make on our own, but the Spirit of God can accomplish in us what is impossible by our own strength.
“It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.”
Zechariah 4:6 NLT
Spiritual, emotional, and physical healing happens in His presence when we surrender and allow Him to work in us.
To be continued…
Think About It:
• Have you been trying to heal by your own strength, or have you allowed the Spirit of God to help you?
• In what ways can celebration and fellowship with others be part of your healing process?
• What area of your life needs to be transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit?
