Multiply What You Know
You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others. 2 Timothy 2:2 NLT
The Christian life was not designed to be a stagnant pond, but a constantly flowing river. The apostle Paul, in his final instructions to his disciple Timothy, reveals the divine strategy for the expansion of the Kingdom: spiritual multiplication. Knowledge of God’s Word carries the implicit responsibility to be shared. We are not owners of the truth we have received, but stewards of a treasure that must be handed over to the next generation so that the message of salvation and transformation never stops.
- The chain of spiritual transmission Our current faith is the result of men and women who, before us, were faithful in teaching. Paul establishes a four-generation model in this single verse: Paul, Timothy, trustworthy people, and “others.” Our task is to ensure that the chain does not break with us.
- The selection of trustworthy people Multiplying what we know requires discernment. It is not just about speaking to the masses, but about investing quality time in “trustworthy people.” The depth of discipleship is what guarantees that the message remains pure and solid through time.
- Training for teaching The goal of discipleship is not just for the other person to learn, but for them to be “qualified to pass it on.” A true disciple is one who eventually becomes a teacher for someone else. We must teach with the intention that our students will surpass us in the work of the Lord.
- The confirmation of the truth What we multiply are not our personal opinions, but “confirmed truths.” Our teaching must always be anchored in sound doctrine and the testimony of the Scriptures, ensuring that what we transmit is the pure gospel that has the power to save.
God has given you talents, experiences, and a deep knowledge of His love so that you may be a bridge, not a dead end. By investing your life in others, you are sowing seeds of eternity that will bear fruit long after you are gone. Do not keep only for yourself the blessings and revelations you have received in church or in your personal time with God; look for someone today in whom you can pour out a little of the grace that the Lord has deposited in your heart.

Think About It:
- Who are the people who have invested their time to teach me, and how can I honor that legacy today?
- Whom am I currently discipling or intentionally teaching what I have learned from the Bible?
- Identify a “trustworthy person” in your environment and commit to sharing a biblical truth that has transformed your life with them this week.
