Oasis

OASIS

After leaving Marah, the Israelites traveled on to the OASIS of Elim, where they found twelve springs and seventy palm trees. They camped there beside the water. Exodus 15:27 NLT)

An oasis speaks to me of a place in the middle of the desert. Where I find water.
An oasis makes me think of a place of rest.
An oasis tells me about a time or place where I take a break.
An oasis is a pause in the midst of problems, in which I find time to reflect, rest, feed myself, and gain new strength.
An oasis is a place where I find water, shade from trees or palm trees.

In this oasis, the people of Israel found a place where they could:
-Re-connect with each other, talk,
-Pray together,
-Study together,
-Eat together.

Think about it:
What similarity do you find between an oasis and your Connection Group?
When was the last time you took a break to reflect, rest or renew your strength?
Are you already attending a Connection Group?
Why do you think it’s important to belong to a Connection Group and connect with others?
